Sofia Vergara

  Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara, an Colombian actress and model was born on July 10, 1972.



 



 Vergara became an internationally renowned host of two Spanish-language television programs for Univision in late 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was Vergara's debut acting role in English. Then, she was featured in Four Brothers (2005) and Tyler Perry’s comedy Meet the Browns (2008). Madea Goes to Jail(2009) received an ALMA Award nomination. In 2009, she started playing Gloria Delgado Pritchett, an ABC comedy series. She was nominated four times for Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and eleven Screen Actor Guild Awards.

Prior to her departure from acting, she played Cindy Lou Who in the film How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). Jenny Humphrey was also featured on the CW's teenage drama Gossip Girl (2007–2012).
